I thought they did a great job. I tried to watch Free Speech TV but I'm Black.
Meaning, don't give me that s**t of, "It's because he's Black!" Grow up. Damn, I've never seen so many cry babies. If I were all hooked up into the Cult of St. Barack, I might be blind as well. But my Black ass has been Green for years now. (Yeah, I voted for Nader even in 2000 and I am damn proud of that vote to this day.)
Oh, just lost the feed at The NewsHour so went over to USTREAM where they also were doing it live and I'm one of 14,208,082 people streaming it right now. Can you believe that?
Oh, good news! Stan just e-mailed. These are Google news links from Stan (who's already posted tonight):
Leader? Really? Get real. Ellen T. already did all the work. Patrick did nothing. I'm glad he's gone, pushy little jerk.
So the Republicans are the big winners tonight. Again, it's not personal to me. I'm a Green. Dems sold out the left starting in 2006 with those mid-terms. Wouldn't impeach Bush, wouldn't stop the wars, just a bunch of corporatists.
In news I do care about, Ned Parker and Jaber Zeki (LAT) report that today's bombings in Baghdad have now claimed 113 lives and that the death toll may continue to climb. Today's violence follows Sunday's assault on the Baghdad church where 62 people died.
Iraq is an important issue but we don't get coverage of it. That's not going to change by the way. The Nation magazine, et al, are going straight into the presidential elections. Why? Because it's cheap, easy and really doesn't require any work.
Male and female writer of In Treatment were Terry Gross' guests for NPR's Fresh Air Monday.
Oh! My husband and Wally are blogging tomorrow, just FYI.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
