Contact Music has a stupid article on Demi Moore. Did you know, for example, that "St. Elmo's Fire" was her first film and the first major follow up was "Ghost"? That's so wrong. And not only was Elmo's not her first film, her first major follow up would included "About Last Night" and "The Seventh Sign."
In addition, they want you to know "Striptease" killed her career. It could have impacted it but it was the one-two of "Striptease" and "The Scarlet Letter" that really led to Demi taking time off (and she made the decision to take that time off, as I remember it).
I like Demi. I've seen most of her movies and enjoyed her in them. I think the notion that she's on the verge of a 'comeback' is a little silly. She's been back for nearly a decade now.
My favorite Demi film? I can't remember the title and am too lazy to go to our DVD shelf. Ron Bass wrote it. I know that. She's -- "Passion of the Mind." It's a great film. After that? "Mortal Thoughts" probably. And then "Flawless" with Michael Caine. Then? The second Charlie's Angeles film where she's Madison. Then "Margin Call." There's only one Demi film I haven't seen, by the way. It looks like a scary movie and I've never been in the mood for it when I've seen it (for rent) and I've never been able to find it when I was in the mood. I bet you can stream it. I'll have to check on that.
