So thank you to them for the very kind offer.
Second, thank you to Ava and C.I. for writing that.
As a third party member (I'm a Green), I am so used to my party being screwed over repeatedly. So I really appreciated that two Democrats called out the nonsense NPR pulled today.
And took it seriously.
And did such a great job calling it out.
Another thing I'm thankful for? Helen Hunt has a new movie, The Sessions. I was looking for news about Benghazi and found this at CBS News. She was so good on Mad About You and, of course, in As Good As It Gets. Then she did Play It Forward and it's like she's been paying for the movie ever since. (I think that film's biggest problem was the lack of chemistry between her and Kevin Spacey.)
I like Helen Hunt. She made What Women Want and she was great in Dr. T and The Women as well as Bobby. So I hope this new film really gives her a chance to shine like the article said.
On Benghazi, AP has an interesting report about the ever changing story on the attack on the US consulate:
But for days, the Obama administration blamed it on an out-of-control demonstration over a video made in America ridiculing Islam's prophet Muhammad.
Paul Ryan, the Republican vice presidential nominee, led Friday's charge.
"Look around the world, turn on your TV," Ryan said in an interview with WTAQ radio in the election battleground state of Wisconsin. "And what we see in front of us is the absolute unraveling of the Obama administration's foreign policy."
The Daily Caller reports what Fox viewers were told tonight when Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer appeared:
“They had two reasons to lie,” Krauthammer said. “The first reason was the fact that the Sept. 11 attack occurred a week after they just spent four days in Charlotte dancing on the grave of bin Laden. Remember, this is their single foreign policy achievement. There is none other. Look at Iran Look at Russia. Look at Israel. Look at Syria. Look at the Arab spring. It’s all in collapse. They got one thing to argue, and they sure argued it, where they made the point again and again and again with that ridiculous slogan from Vice President [Biden], ‘bin laden dead, GM alive,’ because what Libya said, what it was proclaiming to the world and the reason the attack was launched in the first place was to say, ‘bin Laden dead, al-Qaida alive.’ That is what has happened as a result of leading from behind in Libya.”
So that's my grab bag post. I haven't watched Whitney yet. Remember, we start blogging about Whitney next week. (The plan is on Monday.)
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
