That's 5 women and 3 men and it might seem good if I were NPR nubie.
I'm not. As Faye Dunaway says in Mommie Dearest, "this ain't my first time at the rodeo!" (She's playing Joan Crawford and I hope you read Ava and C.I.'s "Before Bette versus Joan, there was Mary (Ava and C.I." on Crawford last week.)
They do that every now and then. Twice a month. Then they spend the rest of the time with men, men and more men.
Doubt me? Let's add the figures to the month so far, okay?
As of today there have been 10 women. That seems good. But as of today there have been 16 men.
In other news . . .
Am I the only pregnant woman with an itchy belly?
I don't have a pooch yet or I'd think it was a heat rash. (That's not, "I'm so thin!" I'm barely three months along.) But it itches constantly. I'm wondering if this lasts for long?
If so, I have to get my nails cut. I'm tearing up my stomach with my long nails. Not like dragon lady. But easily an inch and half.
I do manicures. It's how I stopped biting my nails. My mom could not get me to stop and, finally, when I was 10, she took me for a manicure. I loved it.
She said, "Good. Don't chew your nails or you won't get another one until you can pay for it." So I stopped chewing my nails and got weekly manicures with her. We'd go in together.
I love my nails but I am scratching up my stomach like crazy.
