If you missed it, Hillary Clinton (Secretary of State) went into the hospital this week. Reuters reports she was discharged this evening "after being treated for a blood clot near her brain." Anne Gearan (Washington Post) adds:
“Her medical team advised her that she is making good progress on all fronts, and they are confident she will make a full recovery,” according to a statement released by Clinton aide Philippe Reines. “She’s eager to get back to the office, and we will keep you updated on her schedule as it becomes clearer in the coming days.”
Good. Unlike Barack, she's actually been working the last four years.
Good to know she's expected to be fine.
After the way she put herself out and traveled all over the world repeatedly, it would be really awful if this were something that was harmful to her.
She's said she wants to spend time enjoying herself. And she's certainly earned the right to that.
I didn't want to write about her when she went into the hospital.
I was listening to Morning Edition (NPR) and that's how I found out. They had two people on with Steve Inskeep. And while the science person offered perspective, I felt the 'reporter' offered gossip.
I also felt like there was an attempt to create drama. The segment was very offensive.
I'm glad she's okay. And wish her (and Bill) all the best.
If you're wondering, I'm done with Tell Me More. We're going to add up the figures shortly and write our piece on it. I can't believe how awful the show is and can't take another day of listening, sorry.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
