What an ugly outfit. That's Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "White House Correspondents Dinner" and, yes, Michelle's Halston dress was about that ugly. Her wig was also so cheap that I doubt it fooled anyone. If you're going to wear a wig and you have even a few dollars, you need to buy one made with real hair. That's true of weaves as well. Kat's "Kat's Korner: You're no Emmett Till" went up Sunday and I love her for it. Well said, Kat.
The first hour of today's Diane Rehm Show was all about Osama and Susan Page guest hosted and the guests were: John McLaughlin, Youchi Dreazen, Paul Pillar and Ahmed Rashid. Notice something?
No women. It's an important subject, so no women. Ava and C.I. caught that attitude in April (I missed it) and we included it in the piece we wrote Sunday "Diane Rehm's gender imbalance (Ann, Ava and C.I.)."
Best comment about the awful first hour was left at Diane's site:
Hour two? The useless Alice Walker.
Tired Alice was reading her book about chickens and humanity and tossing around "Mommy" a lot.
Give it up, you big fake.
There's not a person in the Black community who doesn't know (a) Alice Walker is in a bitter feud with her only child (Rebecca) and won't talk to her (this has been going on for three or four years now) and (b) as a result Alice refuses to see -- let alone bond with -- her only grandchild.
Alice Walker's a joke. Another fake who writes books about spirituality and love and family but can't get her own house in order. Consider her the Jerry Falwell of this century.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
