Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Great Billy Carter's Ghost!" is above and hilarious. I love Billy Carter's ghost popping in. And I like the point it makes about Mr. Do Nothing On Immigration whose family continues to get a pass and not be deported to Kenya -- something immigrants who are not related to the president don't enjoy. I did greatly enjoy Kat's "Kat's Korner: It's not easy being assembly lined" and I was a huge Muppets fan. Not just Miss Piggie, but Fozie Bear, Sam the Eagle and Janice and everybody. So I was very disappointed in the Muppets tribute album. Yes, I bought it. I was an idiot. I was getting coffee last week, saw it and thought, "MUPPETS!" Kat's review captures all that is wrong with that awful album.
On the first hour of today's Diane Rehm Show (NPR), the guests were Joseph Romm, Deborah Solomon, Kevin Book and Ian Urbina. The second hour was George McGovern.
George McGovern shouldn't even get out of bed anymore. There's no point in it. A few mealy mouthed words about the continued Iraq War. He's too chicken to call out Barack. What a tired old man. Go to sleep, McGovern, no one needs to hear you whimper.
Speaking of whimpering, this post has a comment from a Dumb Ass. Bint Alshamsa is the idiot's name. She's got this insane and lenthy post trashing White men, lying about Barack and just whoring, she's just a whore, just a dirty little whore. And so the whore says that White men (straight and non-disabled) can't be trusted.
Presumably that means she only trusts Barack 1/2 way since he is 1/2 White, right?
Here she is spouting garbage:
I think it also needs to be understood that the first person of color to occupy a role in our society is never a true radical. A truly radical person of color would never have been elected President. Even the self-identified liberals and progressives wouldn’t have allowed it. Sadly, it seems that the traits that made Obama electable in the eyes of white America are now the very same ones that many progressives and liberals are unhappy with. I wish that I could explain to some of my loved ones who are white that Obama’s role is not to enact the kind of revolutionary policies needed to fix this society. His role is to make it possible for that revolutionary to be accepted by white America. It isn’t Paul Robeson that changed the way white American sports-lovers viewed black athletes. It took Jackie Robinson to do that. Robeson was too revolutionary for most of white America to accept, but Robinson was malleable enough to endure the kind of abuse that America requires people of color to tolerate in order to achieve new levels of (begrudging) acceptance. Being anything other than a complete milquetoast and even white liberals and progressives will label a person of color “too angry”, “uppity”, or a “loose cannon”.
First off, Sister Fool, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Big surprise from a whore for Barack, right? Paul Robeson was accepted, you damn idiot.
He was beloved.
If it weren't for the Witchunt, he would have remained beloved.
You're a damn idiot.
And he wasn't 'radical.' His ideas were in keeping with most people of his time. It didn't fit the elites and they punished him.
And for that whore to reduce how his life was destroyed is just b.s. I'm so damn sick of these people who need to believe Barack pisses rainbow -- I'm sick of them for any number of reasons but mainly because the whores have such a hard time honoring REAL BLACK people because they work overtime to pretend bi-racial is Black. It ain't.
Robeson was All American in 1917 and 1918, he was onstage in the 20s. He made his first film in 1925. He had one success after another for decades. And he visited the Soviet Union in the 30s and it didn't hurt or destroy his career. Repeating, his beliefs were not out of the norm.
Stupid ahistorical whores better stop distorting Black history to whore for Barack. Go suck a dick, whore. You're probably good at that. But shut the hell up about Black history because you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
And, no, Black people did not have to try to blend in to become successful. Aretha became successful after she broke free of Columbia and blending. Don't give me that crap. I loathe ignorant people who try to speak as though they possess knowledge.
Paul Robeson would find greater fame in the late 30s and 40s (again, after his visit to the Soviet Union and his various political stands -- no one cared. It didn't hurt him.)
And Jackie Robinson -- a little turncoat, a little coward who basically went before the HUAC and 'named names' by calling Robeson out and calling him a Communist -- didn't change people's views of 'sports,' he was a baseball player. Boxers and football players (Robeson was a football player) also had impact on sports. The stupid Alshamsama over generalizes every time.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
