Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Funding Terrorism" from last night and, also this weekend, Kat's "Kat's Korner: Carole's back catalogue" went up Saturday and her "Kat's Korner: Carole Touches the Sky and Soul" went up on Sunday.
Cedric and I went to the movies Sunday night. Another couple called us up and asked if we wanted to go. I am so tired as a result. We went to the movies after church so it was a showing that started after 9:30 and we grabbed some coffee and pie after.
(Well they did. I had coffee. Did you know a slice of pecan pie has 480 calories? That's one of the highest. We're all learning this in my office.)
So Hunger Games was the movie we saw.
And if I were a tween I supposed I'd be excited.
The small numbers of tweens at our showing certainly loved it.
But I found the movie dull and manipulative.
(With stupid names. "Catness" and "Primrose" stand out.)
So they have to fight. And the female star and the male star refuse to fight each other. And this turns out to have been some sort of a test.
Everything was a test -- of how long my nerves could hold up.
And the male lead? Slap two bolts on either side of his neck and he's a dead ringer for Frankenstein.
