That's Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Campaigning" from yesterday. I'm including a photo from Twitter. I hope it's okay to do that.
That's Stacey Dash with Paul Ryan who is Mitt Romney's running mate.
Back on October 8th, I noted the attacks on Stacey Dash for endorsing Mitt Romney and I said people needed to leave her alone. Sadly, we don't live with grown ups.
A reader e-mailed something and it really made me cry.
This is Twitchy, which I assume is a conservative site (I could be wrong). And they've documented all the hate that was piled on Stacey when she posted the photo above.
I was actually going to write about something else tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
But I read that and you have people saying she needs to die, you've got people calling her 'ho' and bitch and the n-word -- and some of these people -- I don't get it.
I'm Black. I don't use the n-word but I know I could get away with it. If a White person used it, I'd say, "Racist." And yet a number of non-Blacks (I used the links to go to their feeds and check) felt perfectly comfortable hurling the n-word at Stacy.
These are people who are supposed to be left and who would have a freak-fest if anyone hurled that word at Barack. But because they don't agree with Stacey, they think they can call her the n-word or bitch or 'ho' or anything else that pops into their sick minds.
Why can't Stacey just be appreciated for thinking differently?
Why does she have to be hated and insulted and degraded just because you don't like who's she's voting for?
They're so hateful that they even make fun of her dress and I think it's a pretty dress and that she looks very pretty in the photo. (Paul Ryan looks very handsome in the photo.)
This woman has never done anything harmful to anyone. I've never heard about her having some celebrity feud or being in a hit-and-run or anything.
Just because she wants to vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, people think it's okay to attack her and say mean and vile things about her?
I thought we valued the right to vote in a democracy.
But these people making these comments about Stacey don't give a damn about democracy. They want to bully and scare people into voting exactly like they do.
This really makes me sick and it really makes me cry.
I thought we were better as a people than this.
